Isn't it inconvenient to buy local food?

No! With so many options for pick-up and drop-off, as well as mail order and all kinds of farmers’ markets and stores that now offer local food, it isn’t inconvenient. Of course, if you want to eat 100% local all the time, you may find yourself with a shortage or a glut of local items here and there. But you don’t have to go cold turkey, and you don’t have to eat only local. There are lots of ways to make it even easier. You can swap pick-ups with a neighbor, for example. Try new places when you’re in an area anyway. (Keep a list of local farmers’ markets and their schedules in your car!) Buy things that can be frozen, such as meat, in bulk, so you only have to do a pick-up once a month or so.
